Who can sign up
9ja Gist Of The Day is a news hub for kids and families. The newsletter signup is for parents and guardians only: adults aged 18 or over.
That limit is there because of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Nigeria's Data Protection Act (NDPA), and Kit's rule that a subscriber is 18 or over.
What the form asks for
The form asks for an email address and, if you want to give it, your first name. It also asks you to confirm that you are a parent, guardian, or adult aged 18 or over, and that you have read this notice.
We never ask for a child's name, age, or school. We never ask for information about your children. This site does not create accounts.
The Weekly Gist
The Weekly Gist is our free Sunday email: the week's best good news, retold simply.
We send a confirmation email first. Your subscription starts only after you click the link in that email.
Kit sends the email
We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to send the email. Kit processes your details on our behalf, and your email address and first name are stored on Kit's servers in the United States.
The signup form on the home page sends your email address to Kit. This page does not include the form.
No tracking
This site does not use analytics or tracking scripts. It does not set advertising cookies, and it does not follow you around the web.
We never sell your data.
Unsubscribe and deletion
You can unsubscribe at any time from a link in the email. You can also ask us to delete your details. Write to [email protected].
